Twlight Saga - Eclipse

So now that New Moon is over we get to look forward to Eclipse. My sister already got us tickets for the movie at midnight in Salt Lake again. I am so excited. I love Twilight. So I just had to post the new count down.

Bathroom

Well, it was a long week with out a shower, but I survived. You don't realize how nice it is to have our own shower until you have to drive to use the shower. Although, I was lucky enough to have my in-laws only blocks away so I didn't have to go that far.

It is so nice to have a improved shower. No more peeling ceiling, annoying leaking faucet, or trim that just won't stay sealed. My dad did an awesome job installing our new tub surround and we are very grateful for his help. Just to show you how much is changed I have posted some before and after pictures.

NEW MOON

So it has finally come. NEW MOON is here at last. Last year my sister, mom, and I went to the midnight showing of Twilight and so to keep it up we are going to NEW MOON tonight. We are really excited. We are going to go to dinner at Brick Oven and then off to The Gateway for the big event. Although this year we expanded our group to 7 people. More of my family is going and my mother & sister-in-law are going with us. It's going to be a late night and an especially early morning with work tomorrow, but it is well worth it.

AND

just for the fun of it I had to add the count down clock!!!!

Pronghorn Hunt

This last week has been a lot of fun for us. JD, Grandpa Bryan, his friend Leo, and myself all drew antelope tags. The hunt started Saturday, September 12 and ends tomorrow. We took all last week off to go down south on the Plateau to hunt the antelope. It was a blast. We want to definitely put in for this hunt again. JD & I both had a lot of chances at many different antelopes. Some were really big and others were okay. It was a lot of fun to ride the four-wheelers with my family and of course hunt. My Grandpa Bryan wasn't able to make it down for the hunt and we really missed him and my Grandma. I hope they will be able to come with us on the deer hunt in October. Below are some fun pictures of the antelope we killed.

JD shot his at 235 yards Monday evening.

I shot mine just over 200 yards on Wednesday afternoon.

Leo shot his between 250 - 300 yards on Thursday morning. I think he won the contest for the biggest antelope shot in our group.

I have no idea how to score an antelope, but JD & I measured ours from the base to the tip just to see who's bigger. JD's was 11" long and mine was 10 3/4". Only a 1/4" taller, BUT mine was a 1/4" thicker at the base and 1 1/2" wider than his. But who really cares right.

July Birthday Party

I can't leave out the BIG July Birthday party. We celebrate a lot of birthdays. Dustin's (my cousin) is on the 17th, mine is on the 19th, Grandpa Bryan's is on the 20th, Courtney's (my cousin) is on the 21st AND starting this year Ava's (my cousin) is on the 20th as well. She was just born this year. We always have a big BBQ at my aunt's house to celebrate all of them. Here are some pictures.

Green Family Reunion

I thought it might be fun to post some of our pictures from the Green Family Reunion. We had a lot of fun. They had a horse shoe competition. JD & my Dad were on a team and they WON! Amazing, I know. They won $14 to spilt. It was kind of fun to watch everyone play.

Summer Baby Quilts

Just this last week I got really ambitious and started sewing all of my blankets together. I completed 4 receiving blankets and my rag quilt.

I also started my truck quilt/bumper pad. I have all of the dump trucks done and I just started the tractors. I will post a picture of the finished product later, but I posted a picture of the book so you can kind of see what it is going to look like. I just love it. It has to be one of my favorite quilts that I have made yet. It was a lot of cutting and piecing together, but I have really enjoyed doing this one. AND no I am not pregnant. I am doing all of these fun projects for future kids that I hope to have.

Lagoon

I went to Lagoon with my family on July 20th. My family goes every year, but I usually don't go. I am glad I went with them this year. It was a lot of fun. I wish JD could have come with me. It was so much fun watching Boston and Kayden ride the rides. Boston didn't like some of them and others he loved. We hung out in the Kiddy Land for most of the morning and then we went to the big rides. By the end of the day Dustin and his friend Spencer just insisted that I go on the Sky Coaster with them. So who do you think they went to, my DAD. He told Dustin that he would pay to see me go it because he didn't think I would. So what do you think they did. Yep, that's right, they bought me a ticket so I couldn't back out. We went on it at the end of the day and what a rush. It made me really nervous on our way up to the top. Then they counted us down and Dustin pulled the rip cord. The initial fall was quick and really fun. Once the cord caught it was smooth sailing and I really enjoyed it. I honestly thought my heart would have stayed at the top more than it did. The fall happened so quick I don't think I let it build up enough to stay at the top. I am glad I went on it and I would probably go again. We didn't leave until 10:00 pm. So it was a long fun filled day at Lagoon. Here are some pictures from the big event.

Rock Crawling Competition

JD & Stewart entered the Millard County Old School Rock Crawl again this year. It was a lot of the fun. It was HOT! Which was so nice since last year it rained and it was so cold. JD competed in the stock class and Stewart competed in the Legends class. It was a 2 day competition. I have a lot of video from the competition, but it is not completed yet. So I am just going to post some of the fun pictures.

Stewart at Tip Over Challenge: You are supposed to back up the ramp as far as you can with out tipping over.
